mysterious boy / kabuki actor ?
Making the Boys

anonymous handcolor postcard from around 1920.

I bought this postcard in Japan a few years ago and it is still very mysterious to me.
I guess this postcard was issued in Taisho period (1920′s) and the kimono pattern looks from Taisho too, but I’m not a specialist. The young boy, with his make-up and old style hairdressing looks like a page or a catamite from the Kamakura period. Maybe this portrait is from an actor of some kind of Kabuki play ? if someone have any clue about clothes, hairdressing or anything ? Merci.

Question by cmize6: What did Spock say before he was about to beat down the vulcan boys making fun of him?
You know when the Vulcan boys are making fun of him as a little boy because he has emotions and he’s part human…what does he say when they first walk up behind him…He says something like I presume you blah blah blah and they say affirmitive…random i know but i think its hilarious! haha

“I Presume you’ve prepared new insults for today”
“Affirmative”
“This is youyr 35th attempt to illicit a remotional response from me.”
“You’re neither human nor vulcan and therefore have no place in this universe”
“Look his human eyes, they look sad don’t they”
“Perhaps a remotional response requires physical stimulate (pushes) he’s a traitor you know, your father for marrying her that human whore”
